I've noticed that we've yet to get reprints of the movie cards from Pyramid of Light or the 10th anniversary one. Why is that?

Because they only showed up for a movie that isn't canon, and weren't all that popular. My shop still has a bunch of them in the discount rare long box.

So that doesn't look good for the promo cards coming out for the new Darkside of Dimensions movie, huh?

If they turn out to be popular, that issue is resolved.

BESD was a Nomi that is literally impossible to play because it requires a card that is not released yet at that time.

Theinen has 6500 ATK for only a turn, after that it becomes a vanilla. Not to mention the complex summoning requirement, requiring you to pay 1000 LP to get the unsearchable Andro & Teleia into the field while keeping Pyramid of Light alive, then destroy that Pyramid of Light, losing a total of 3 cards in process, and then pay 500 to summon Theinen and then another 500 for the ATK boost. In total you lose 3 cards and 2000 LP to get a vanilla monster who spend most of its time having only 500 ATK higher than BEWD.

Not hard to see why they weren't popular.

.........I wouldn't mind seeing them getting a reprint with PSCT though.

Yeah, but how do they PSCT a monster whose special summoning condition can miss the timing, like Theinen's can?

That's why I wouldn't mind seeing them reprinting the card, because that means we'll be able to see how are they going to handle the PSCT text.

......also, I'm still hoping they'll errata BESD to make it better

How so? Konami owns the franchise, and the cards are still legal to pay in both OCG and TCG.

Shueisha owns the franchise, Konami merely licensed it from them to distribute the card game. This is why ygo is so fucked, because it's in a constant 3-way struggle.

There are a lot of cards in this game that have never been reprinted, if you ignore the obvious ones (like ancient vanillas and pointless garbage like Bite Shoes), you'll notice a pattern for what aren't reprinted.

I see. Well, that sucks. I was hoping for a reprint of the Sphinxes... then again, I have a full set of all three and Pyramid of Light, so I can't complain...
