Not sure if it's real, the spoiler contains all the movie plot.

We watch small balls curling around columns of light as we move through space and finally come to Earth.

We see the KC shaped space station, which Kaiba is in.

Kaiba looks at a virtual recreation of the Puzzle

Credits

The dig in Egypt is being run by KC (Mani is there)

KC employees have a picture of the Puzzle being worn by Yugi so it’s clear that that’s what they’re looking for

Mokuba arrives

~~

Cut to Yugi

Yugi heads out of the game shop to go to school

Grandpa has something to tell him but he can’t remember what it is and Yugi impatiently tells him that he has to go while Grandpa mumbles to himself

Grandpa remembers! Anzu is going to be late to their meeting place so he has to wait for her there.

Yugi runs off to said meeting place.

Anzu greets him and comes up to him bumping him with her shoulder (it’s really cute). She asks if he waited long, to which Yugi says no.

Jounouchi cycles to school without paying much attention to his surroundings.

He goes past a guy who throws a bucket full of water out which soaks Jounouchi, the guy calls to Jounouchi to apologise

Shaking his head to clear the water Jounouchi nearly knocks over a policeman who yells after Jounouchi by name too

Yugi and Anzu get to school and spot Ryou being offered gifts by his fan club

Jounouchi catches up with Honda

Honda leaps on the back of the bike

They bike down hill into school as gate is being shut by PE teacher (the one who threatened Ryou over his hair length when Ryou first transferred to Domino and subsequently got turned into a doll by Yami Bakura)

~~

Yugi and co are eating lunch together and talking about their dreams

Anzu wants to be dancer in NYC

Jounouchi wants to be a pro-duelist if he can afford the gear, his duel disk is broken and he’s been having issues with it because it’s old

Yugi thinks he might stay in the game shop and help his Grandpa cos he wants to create a game that’ll be enjoyed by kids all over the world. He really wants to be a game designer. Honda and Jou tel him they’ll support his idea and help him out.

They all head back to class and spot Aigami at the back of class

“I know who that is, that’s…. Wait?” This kind of conversation continues round the group as they suddenly realise that they’re not sure who Aigami is. He is familiar but they can’t say why.

Eventually Honda remembers it’s ‘Aigami’

Yugi blinks and asks; “Aigami-kun?”

~~

Jounouchi, Anzu and Yugi are walking home together and crossing a bridge.

Teacher gave Jounouchi and Yugi their stuff back after having confiscated it earlier in the day (Jounouchi’s dueldisk, Yugi’s deck) – Yugi is looking at his deck

Yugi thinks about ‘the other me’ and pauses

Jounouchi asks what’s up but Yugi says it’s nothing

Jou (showing surprising tact) “You still have some of his cards right?”

Yugi thinks about the ceremonial duel (the part where Yugi seals “Monster Reborn” in “Gold Sarcophagus” )

They redrew Atem walking into the afterlife so its manga compliant (ie no Kaiba bros)

The items are shown falling when the tablet breaks, the Puzzle shatters back into pieces when it falls

Jounouchi spots Aigami being harassed by Kudaragi and his gang

They’re telling him he has a cute face and they pretty heavily implying they want to film him doing sexual things

Jounouchinouchi jumps off the bridge, fumbles the landing, but still stays on his feet before he makes the thugs go away. Kudaragi tells Aigami to meet them at the KC construction site later “or else”

Aigami uses Masaki-san, Jounouchinouchi-kun, Mutou Yugi-san. Aigami thanks them, assures them he’s fine and walks off

~~

KC construction site (there’s a cute poster of a Blue-Eyes White Dragon in a construction helmet)

Kudaragi and gang have a camera out to record Aigami – they tell him “today’s lesson is ‘pain’” and threaten him with various weapons

Aigami is silent and then starts laughing

He summons his cube item and blows out all the lights

The creepy purple children appear with the glowing eyes

The children surround the thugs and all start to glow. The gold upside down pyramid on Aigami’s forehead glows and then the thugs begin to glow.

Kudaragi disintegrates screaming before the other thugs follow.

The camera drops and we watch Aigami walk away before he comes back for the video recorder and then it blacks out.

~~

We cut to a church

Atem in his Battle City outfit (plus gold bands on his biceps) steps out from the doors and to his place opposite Kaiba.

Kaiba is using his new duel disk, which shoots virtual cards from the circle thing

Kaiba draws and his hand appears before him as a virtual projection. He brushes the cards in mid air with his fingers to use them. The usual taunting about how his victory is assured and Atem can’t hope to win.

Kaiba almost immediately summons Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon

Atem summons Dark Magician and uses Thousand Knives

Kaiba uses a new Trap Card in reply and attacks Dark Magician

Atem summons Celtic Guardian and the newly designed Celtic Guardian

Kaiba summons Kaiser Vorse Raider

Atem summons Dark Magician Girl

Kaiba attacks with Neo thinking he’s won.

Camera zooms in on Atem and “Sore wa dou ka na?” “Is that so?” (entire cinema inhaled sharply) – Atem’s catchphrase.

Atem uses a trap “Dimension Reflector” which summons a Trap Monster with the same ATK and DEF as Neo and inflicts damage to Kaiba equal to the Trap Monsters ATK (4500)

But Kaiba plays his own trap card and when the attack is sent back Neo absorbs it? and its attack goes up to 9000

Kaiba attacks Atem and defeats him.

Turns out it was a virtual duel

Kaiba is actually in his space station, testing out the new Virtual System

His scientists hand him a bottle of water, which he begins to drink from as they tell him how perfect the system was and all the tests were good, etc.

Kaiba throws a literal hissy fit “What’s the point?! It wasn’t perfect because it can’t perfectly recreate my memories (of him)” i.e he can’t properly recreate a virtual Atem to duel and he’s pissed. He throws the bottle of water on the ground.

Mokuba interrupts, calling the space station. They found the pieces of the Puzzle at the dig site.

~~

Cut to the mall

Yugi, Anzu, Honda and Ryou are hanging out at a table.

Honda has the top part of the casing off Jounouchi’s dueldisk

Otogi is serving them – he no longer has the black line under his left eye. Turns out his Dad is the owner of the café (guess they decided to do this after the Black Crown burnt down???)

It’s now in the news that Kudaragi and his gang, who were harassing Aigami, have disappeared.

Turns out Jounouchi is in the dog suit walking round and handing out balloons

Kaiba suddenly appears on ALL THE SCREENS a la Battle City and announces his amazing new duel disk and goes on about how great it is and that they’ll be an exhibition match at Kaiba Land soon to show it off.

Jounouchi laments that he won’t be able to afford the new duel disk and Honda tells him he’ll have to get another part time job to buy it. Jounouchi and Honda start fighting.

Aigami teleports into the mall but on a higher level, looking down and watching them.

He flashbacks to the floating stone island we’ve seen in the trailers.

The island has 7 pillars, one has an ankh on (we’ve seen it in the trailer) and the other 6 have Millennium Items. The Puzzle is drawn on the ground in the middle of the pillars.

As Aigami is stood in front of the pillar, there are children appearing and disappearing, they’re always sat down.

He’s talking with Sera (who is constantly there).

There’s a flashback to a younger version of him and Sera in Egypt – alone and thirsty. Sera brings Aigami a cup of water. She calls him Diva (seemingly his actual name)

We return to the mall and Mani appears to Aigami.

A ‘Shin-sama’ is mentioned. “This is what Shin-sama wanted.”

~~

Back to Egypt and Isono and Mokuba are waiting for Kaiba.

Kaiba flies in on the Blue-Eyes White Dragon jet (most like the manga version – so more like a decorated fighter jet thing – but still has some tweaks on that design)

Landing gear comes down but Kaiba just jumps out the jet onto the ground before the thing even lands

He goes into the underground building thing, where the ceremonial duel took place.

All the locals that were helping dig are stood off to the left and right side leaving a path down the middle to the container that as the Puzzle pieces in. A KC computer seems to be scanning them.

Mokuba asks how Kaiba is going to solve it when it took Yugi 8 years and Kaiba makes some disparaging comment about the fact that Yugi was a child and he (Kaiba) will have no problems.

Kaiba then calls out Aigami, knowing that he’s in the crowd and seemingly already knows that Aigami is after the Puzzle. He also seems to be aware that Aigami can teleport as he knows that Aigami was in Domino City not long ago.

KC suit employee threatens Aigami with a gun.

Aigami pretends to be scared (bad acting “Oh noooo, whatever will I dooo, it’s a guuuun.”) for all of about 5 seconds before he summons the cube and uses it on the suit the same way he did on the thugs in Domino.

The locals run off at this point leaving Kaiba, Mokuba, KC employees, Aigami and Mani (who was also in the crowd) in the room.

Aigami refers to his group (including the kids) as Planners (this term is used in the Transcend Game manga) – I think that the kids were the original beta testers for Kaiba’s system and they appear and disappear because they’re signing in and out?

Aigami tries to use the cube on Kaiba

Kaiba’s dueldisk glows blue and dissipates the gold glow-y stuff that was attempting to make Kaiba vanish. He yells at Aigami, the same line from the trailer, about “You think you can defeat me with my own power?!”

(It seems like some of the technology is similar which is why Kaiba could negate Aigami’s power. He implies Aigami is using his VR tech). Aigami challenges him to a duel and Kaiba accepts, saying it will be ‘interesting’.

All the kids vanish and Aigami makes his cube unfold to make a duel disk.

The field changes to a more Egyptian-esque setting (we see Kaiba duelling in this setting in the trailer)

~~

Aigami vs Kaiba

(Mani also has a gold upside down triangle on his forehead)

They seem to be using different rules but I couldn’t figure out what they were

Kaiba summons Krystal Dragon

Seems like he has to use his own power to summon the Krystal Dragon and if he doesn’t have enough power it won’t be summoned at full power?

‘Dimension Summoning’ is mentioned

Kaiba ends up with 3 Krystal Dragon

Some traps are used. Trap card called “Dragon Orb”. Kaiba summons Blue-Eyes Alternative Whit Dragon. Attack name is still Burst Stream of Destruction

Aigami uses some trap that reduces all of Kaiba’s monsters to 0 ATK

He summons “Houkai Spawn Vijam”, has three of them.

He uses different card effects to constantly switch out monsters and attack relentlessly.

He takes out all of Kaiba’s dragons so Kaiba has nothing on the field. Seto plays a trap to summon a monster but Aigami negates it.

Some other cards are played, Kaiba ends up with his dragons back on the field but they’re all 0 ATK, can’t be used for anything, just occupy his monster zones so he can’t summon anything. They’re called ‘undimensioned’ (undimensioned is spoken in English)

Kaiba is doing badly in the duel, no useful monsters, down to only 500 life points.

“I can’t lose here, I have to face Yugi… No, your name is Atem…”

He slams his hand onto the ground, yelling draw, and he draws a physical card out of nowhere, having previously been playing with the virtual ones.

Buildings shake, a remix of God Anger plays

Kaiba summons Obelisk – the version looks more like how Obelisk looked in the Millennium World arc

Aigami yells about that being impossible, all Kaiba’s monster zones are full and he can’t summon any monsters

Kaiba says it’s because “this is not a monster, it’s God!”

Aigami also says about Obelisk being the Pharaoh’s monster so Kaiba shouldn’t be able to summon it (Aigami seems to be unaware of Kaiba’s past as Priest Kaiba)

Kaiba sacrifices two of his monsters to use Obelisk’s ability that ups its ATK to infinity.

“God Hand Impact!”

Aigami is defeated with an Obelisk fist to the face.

The Puzzle pieces have finally finished scanning and Mokuba leaps up to sit on the case they’re in, hooking said case to a line from a chopper.

The chopper goes up and the case takes off with Mokuba happily sat on it, taunting Aigami.

Aigami teleports up and smashes in the glass with a purple glow-y hand and reaches in for Puzzle pieces.

Mokuba pauses before headbutting Aigami and knocking him off the case.
Seto taunts him about having what he needs and gets back in the jet, leaving.

Mani teleports into the pit and spots the Millennium Ring in the rubble.

~~

Jounouchi wakes up on top a Kaiba Corporation blimp. Literally lying on the top while it is flying.

He looks up to find Kaiba towering over him, sneering and looking down his nose at Jounouchi.

Kaiba taunts him about the new dueldisk. “A bonkotsu will never be able to afford this,” And then he creepily starts asking: “Do you want itttt~?” with the creepiest face.

Jounouchi falls off the side of the blimp.

And wakes up in the school hall falling out of his chair, he fell asleep during the graduation rehearsal.

Yugi is on the stage, practising his speech – he has his uniform buttoned up for once!

Aigami is in the back of the hall when Sera appears to him, it seems like only he can see her.

We find out that Aigami is Sera’s big brother. Or she’s at least calling him ‘onii-san’.

He gives Sera a piece of the Millennium Puzzle that he managed to take and tells her to keep it safe.

The Pharaoh’s revival is mentioned and Sera doesn’t seem very convinced/approving of Aigami’s plan.

Sera disappears and Aigami approaches Yugi and co, acting like he just wants to get to know them better as their classmate.

They go hang out and go bowling and go to Burger World.

Jounouchi is showing off his deck to Aigami and telling him how good Yugi is at duelling. Aigami says he would like to see sometime, they agree to duel sometime. They also tell him vague stories referring back to the original manga and the trip to Egypt at the end. Aigami says he wants to hear more about that.

~~

Back to Kaiba and it turns out that the space station is tethered to the Earth. There’s an elevator that goes from the ground and takes Kaiba up to the space station with the pieces of the Puzzle.

The space station has a travelator that goes past large windows that give us a nice view of space and takes Kaiba into a small room.

He puts the container of the Puzzle pieces into the floor and his computer begins putting pieces of the Puzzle together.

“Wait for me, Yugi.”

~~

Back to Domino and Aigami, Ryou and Jounouchi are walking together – they’re now in casual clothes and on their way to Yugi’s. Aigami and Yugi arranged to have a friendly duel.

Aigami is showing them the cube or at least has it in his hand as they talk and walk. I think he mentions it’s from Egypt and Bakura mentions he once had something from Egypt that his father brought him back. Aigami says it’s just his deck case.

~~

To the Game shop where Yugi is building his deck ready for his friendly game against Aigami. (the interior design of the game shop has also changed)

Sera appears and Yugi fumbles with his greeting when he notices her. “W-welcome to the shop!”

Sera spots the Puzzle box (which Yugi keeps his deck in) and he tidies it away, telling her it’s not for sale after she mentions how pretty it is.

She starts talking to him (sorry I didn’t really catch what she was talking about) and we see that the Shin-sama mentioned earlier is in fact Shadi!

She shows him the floating rock island with the pillars before they return to the shop.

Sera has vanished but Yugi opens the Puzzle box and finds the piece of the Puzzle that Aigami had given her – she’s now passed it on to Yugi.

~~

Back to Kaiba on the space station.

His computer has almost finished rebuilding the puzzle but then tells him that there are 2 pieces missing.

Kaiba is pissed.

~~

We see an older man with white hair on a boat in Egypt and hiding amongst the cargo is a young Ryou.

Back with Jounouchi, Aigami and Ryou.

Aigami suddenly uses the cube to teleport and puts them all in the middle of a road but there’s no cars or people.

Jounouchi asks what’s going on and Aigami begins to use the cube again as the creepy children appear around them.

Aigami seems to be after Ryou and tells Jounouchi he will show him the ‘true’ world.

He sends Jounouchi to another dimension, telling him ‘goodbye’.
He then approaches Ryou, who is cringing on the floor and struggling to respond. Aigami laughs, asking him “You still don’t remember it, do you? Well, let me help you with that…”

~~

Yugi wonders where everyone got to when Honda shows up. He says he found Jounouchi’s bicycle with his dueldisk in it, completely abandoned, something Jounouchi would never do.

Honda takes Yugi on his motorbike and they soon find Jounouchi’s abandoned bicycle, wondering what happened.

~~

Flashback!

We see Shadi with a group of children including a younger Aigami, Sera and Mani. He has his turban off and has three gold pyramids on his forehead.

The item tablet is behind them and the only items left in it are the scales and ring.

Shadi is talking about 3 of the items being weak to evil and three items representing justice.

The Puzzle is separate as it contains something else.

Tells Aigami that he is on the same level as the person who will solve the Puzzle (whatever that’s supposed to mean? Shadi talks funny)

Shadi is also saying about how there’s a better world (we think he’s being metaphorical, like after the Pharaoh returns the world will be better? But Aigami is taking it literally and wants to go to that other dimension.)

Bakura’s father suddenly appears and is really happy to see the Ring. He talks about having searched his entire life for it.

He turns and offers Shadi a bag full of money for it, obviously having come prepared.

Shadi tells him it’s not for sale but he can see if he’s worthy of it so he’s welcome to try it on.

Ryou’s father puts it on and it’s fine for all of about 3 seconds.

He’s thrown across the room, the Ring snapping off, and is attacked by shadows in the shape of snakes.

Child!Ryou, who has been watching all of this from the shadows at the edge of the room, runs to his father, who is still alive and begs Ryou to get the Ring. He seems obsessed.

Ryou picks up the Ring and puts it on.

Yami Bakura awakens as the Ring fuses into Ryou (literally disappears into his skin) and he thanks Shadi for bringing him a nice ‘landlord’ (yadonushi)

Yami Bakura seems to use shadow magic. And he kills Shadi.

The kids run to Shadi, upset but then Yami Bakura attacks them too. Not sure how many of them he injured or killed, but only Aigami and Sera were moving afterwards. Aigami seems to swear revenge. Not sure if Ryou’s father is alive or dead at this point.

~~

Back to Ryou in the present, he apologises for what the other Bakura did, which throws Aigami off and he hesitates in getting rid of Ryou.

Mani suddenly shows up with the Ring, influenced by the evil of it (NOT YAMI BAKURA SIMPLY THE EVIL ATTACHED TO THE RING)

He grabs Ryou and trie to kill him but Mani regains control of himself for a moment and manages to stop himself, killing himself in the process.

Ryou is sent to another dimension

Mani and Aigami are in a weird desert dimension, where Mani dies and disappears.

The Ring is left behind and Aigami goes to pick it up but then stops himself and leaves.

~~

Aigami taunts Jounouchi (big voice in the sky) who is running around in a dimension that is slowly dissolving around him as he tries to get away. He tells him he will never escape. He’s worthless and he can’t make it.

Aigami tells him they’re planners and reveals his real name of Diva.

Jounouchi falls, about to be killed by this dissolving world – there’s no escape and his body has begun to fade.

Suddenly the whole place is bathed in gold light and Jounouchi looks up.

He sees Atem in his Battle City outfit.

Jounouchi reappears in the real world to Yugi and co who are relieved to find him but still need to search for Ryou.

Jounouchi stops Yugi and starts as if he’s going to tell Yugi he saw Atem but then stops himself and tells Yugi it’s nothing before running off to help look for Ryou.

~~

Aigami is up on a roof when suddenly a bunch of guys in black tactical gear grab him and slap a weird blindfold on him. It looks like it’s made from metal and folds around Aigami’s face, blue light spread throughout it. The guys are from Kaiba Corp. (and seriously look like S.H.I.E.L.D)

Kaiba shows up and demands the Puzzle pieces from Aigami, who denies him, before he’s taken to Kaiba Land.

~~

Yugi is running around looking for Bakura and is about to cross a road when the lights change. He stops at the edge of the pavement to catch his breath.

When the traffic should be moving, a car horn blares and Yugi looks up to the middle of the 4 way intersection.

Kaiba is stood in the middle of it, stopping the traffic.

He tells Yugi that Yugi is going to be taking part in the exhibition duel in Kaiba Land that he advertised the other day. No ifs, ands, or buts.

He brandishes the nearly completed Puzzle at Yugi, saying there are two pieces missing.

He already knew that Aigami doesn’t have both and suspects Yugi has one.

Kaiba tells Yugi his goal is to see the other Yugi and nothing else. He implies Yugi is worthless to him.

Kaiba disappears on his helicopter and the traffic begins to move, with Yugi now in the middle of the road. He scrambles for the other side.

He nearly gets hit by a truck but Sera teleports him to the side of the road. He thanks her.

(At this point, I’m not certain on the Japanese.) I think she says ‘there’s no future unless Yugi solves the Puzzle again’

~~

Aigami dreams of him and Sera back in Egypt, thirsty and being ignored by people on the streets and just being treated as a nuisance while they try to beg.

Aigami wakes up in a glass prison, tied to a chair.

Mokuba is on the other side and taunts Aigami when Aigami tries to be smug. Aigami tells him Kaiba will never get both the pieces.

Mokuba tells Aigami that they know where the other piece is and let Aigami think they have Sera so he’ll cooperate. Something like “Gee, I WONDER where the other piece could be. We really have NO IDEA.” while showing him pictures they have of Sera. Still shots, from some kind of surveillance camera? But daily life, not as though they have her locked up.

~~

We’re at the Kaibaland dome, which is full of people waiting for this exhibition.

Fighter jets are flying overhead performing tricks when the system goes down on one and it begins to fall to the dome. The crowd screams and panics.

Kaiba summons Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, which blasts the fighter jet and flames engulf the stage and Kaiba steps out of them. The whole thing was solid vision.

Kaiba gives a speech which gets the crowd all fired up for the match (there was a Dark Magician cosplayer in the crowd), ranting about dueling with one’s heart and how his new duel disks are the pinnacle of technology.

Yugi and Aigami are introduced. At this point, everyone is standing on glowing discs above the crowd.

Kaiba announces that he is going to duel Aigami for his piece of the Puzzle and then duel Yugi for his.

Sera appears to Aigami and apologises to him (even though she still thinks it was right to give the Puzzle piece to Yugi). He is relieved that Kaiba doesn’t have her.

Yugi gets pissed and yells at Kaiba that he wants to duel Aigami because Aigami has hurt his precious friends and Ryou is still missing and HE will be the one to get them back. Yugi is reaaaally pissed while saying this.

Kaiba agrees and Aigami and Yugi step onto the field.

Yugi puts down the Puzzle box, telling Aigami it has the piece of the Puzzle that Sera gave him.

Kaiba throws a new duel disk at Yugi which has a similar design to his but is more like the Battle City duel disk colour scheme. It also opens up so it’s usable with physical cards.

Yugi vs Aigami

Yugi summons Sentry Soldier of Stone

Aigami summons Houkai Spawn Vijam from his duel with Kaiba

Sentry gets destroyed and Yugi takes piercing damage

Aigami summons something and Yugi uses a trap

Yugi summons Silent Swordsman and reduces Aigami’s monster to 100 ATK

Yugi draws and summons Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight

Some monsters get destroyed and Yugi is reduced to very little life points.

Aigami stops and claims that he’s not really doing anything wrong, he just wants to go to this new dimension (the one Shadi was talking about earlier) and leave the current world that is corrupt. He asks Yugi to go with him, even extending a hand out. Aigami seems almost desperate at this point, like he genuinely believes in his cause.

Yugi says he won’t give up on his future or this world

~~

Aigami flashbacks to working for some guy in Egypt. The kids we saw earlier with Shadi live with this man. They seems to be stealing for him and then guy is using all the cash to feed himself and not taking care of the kids. He seems very abusive.

A light falls from the sky and Shadi appears and protects them.

He stops the guy from moving and he approaches Aigami.

Another light drops down and Shadi presses through it to Aigami’s forehead. He gains the upside down gold pyramid on his forehead and vanishes.

Sera asks what he did to her brother and Shadi assures her that Aigami is safe.

Her performs the same action on the other kids who all vanish.

Shadi then unpauses the guy before using the cube on him and killing him.

~~

Back to the duel and Aigami summons “Houkai Super Emperor Indiora Death Bolt”

Yugi manages to get his three traps, Dimension Sphinx, Dimension Guardian and Dimension Mirage on the field for a pyramid combo.

Yugi reiterates that he believes in the future and defeats Aigami.

Aigami dissolves away.

Honda, Jounouchi and Anzu rejoice at Yugi’s victory (Honda and Jounouchi do the chin thing)

A light appears in the audience and Jounouchi, Honda and Anzu fight their way over. Ryou is back!

Kaiba comes down onto the field to duel Yugi for the two Puzzle pieces. He tells Yugi that his goal here is to bring the ‘other Yugi’ back. He insists he has unfinished business. Kaiba thinks the duel with Yugi won’t last long and then he can be done with all this (this is manga canon, so Kaiba has never actually seen Yugi’s skill at duelling solo, having missed the Final Duel).

Kaiba puts the Puzzle in a beam of light in the middle of the field which makes it float.

Yugi tries to tell him that Atem is gone but Kaiba talks over him.

Yugi vs Kaiba

Yugi summons Marshmacaron

Kaiba summons Assault Wyvern which destroys Marshmacaron and two tokens are summoned to Yugi’s side of the field.

Kaiba uses them to summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon

Blue-Eyes White Dragon uses Dragon’s Perseverance, giving Blue-Eyes White Dragon two additional attacks. Kaiba announces it as Triple Burst Stream of Destruction to destroy the tokens and hit directly.

Kaiba sets a card and ends his turn.

Yugi summons Dark Magician, sets and ends.

Kaiba attacks Dark Magician with Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

Yugi activates a trap monster Metal Clay Fortress which has 3500 DEF.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon’s attack is cancelled by Kaiba and he ends.

Metal Clay Fortress switches to ATK mode and has 3500 ATK, it destroys Blue-Eyes White Dragon and switches back to defense when Yugi ends his turn.

Kaiba gets Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX dragon on the field and destroys the fortress Dark Magician Yugi summons Apple Magician Girl, which halves Chaos Max Dragon’s attack

He summons Lemon Magician Girl and Chaos Max Dragon’s attack is halfed again

Lemon allows him to summon Dark Magician Girl, which takes out Chaos MAX Dragon.

Kaiba summons Deep-Eyes White Dragon.

Yugi plays a trap Magician’s Protection, which halves the damage he would have taken.

Yugi gives Kaiba a card (some sort of card effect?)

Yugi summons “Gandora X the Dragon of Destruction” which destroys Deep-Eyes White Dragon.

Kaiba has 2500 life points left.

Yugi steps to the middle of the field, telling Kaiba that this is all pointless. He takes down the Puzzle and slots in his two pieces of the Puzzle before pushing the main front piece into place with an audible click.

Nothing happens. Kaiba looks shocked.

~~

Aigami is in the weird desert dimension again and sees the Ring once more.

He doesn’t touch it but it engulfs him in darkness and he screams for Sera to save him.

~~

Back to Yugi and Kaiba.

Yugi calmly explains that Atem is no longer in the Puzzle so of course it didn’t work. He’s not here anymore.

Kaiba is pissed and yells at Yugi that Yugi deceived him! He seemed to genuinely think that was all it would take to call Atem back. Yugi just smiled at him and puts the puzzle back in the light.

Kaiba uses “Monster Reborn”, which is the card Yugi gave him earlier (?)

Yugi activates the trap “Final Geass” and summons Dark Magician.

He attacks Kaiba with Dark Magician who has no monsters and only 2500 LP.

We watch the lower half of Kaiba’s face as his LP count down.

Kaiba smirks and the counter suddenly stops on 100.

But then the power goes out! (So no idea how that would’ve ended and we don’t ever find out)

We see Aigami’s item appear and one of the faces of the cube has a Millennium Ring symbol on it.

People in the audience are screaming in agony as they disappear in a wave of darkness.

Aigami appears but he is now a monstrous creature with the Ring fused into his chest. Seriously ugly. With cubes for eyes.

Yugi and Kaiba team up to face Aigami monster with zero hesitation. They both look pretty done with magical bullshit by this point.

Aigami vs Kaiba + Yugi

Aigami summons “Dark Houkai Deity Crimson Nova” and Yugi and Kaiba take damage through its effect.

They start to dissolve a little because of the damage taken – if they lose their life points they’ll vanish. Standard dark game.

Kaiba summons Pandemic Dragon and attacks Aigami.

Yugi summons Silver Gadget and then Gold gadget before using the trap Metalhold the Mobile Fortified Fortress.

Aigami plays a trap that lets him summon 2 monsters and destroys Pandemic Dragon and Metalhold the Mobile Fortified Fortress

Yugi uses a trap Soul Swords of Revealing Light and pays 1000 LP to use its effect.

Aigami plays a trap and summons something and Yugi and Kaiba take 1000 damage each

Kaiba uses a trap monster Krystal Avatar, it deals damage to Aigami but Kaiba still takes enough damage to wipe out his LP.

He drops to his knees but gives the Puzzle to Yugi. As he vanishes he yells at Yugi: “Call him! Call him now!” before he disappears.

Yugi puts on the Puzzle and uses Clear Kuriboh

Aigami attacks again and Yugi is down to 200 LP

Everyone is succumbing to the dissolving world.

Yugi goes to draw, struggling and determined, but the light disappears from his eyes as it all becomes too much, his body physically giving out.

He apologises to everyone as he begins to black out.

Suddenly Yugi is bathed in a golden beam of light.

Atem in his Battle City outfit appears (NOTE he is not wearing the gold bands that virtual!Atem was earlier!), superimposed over Yugi.

They draw together (they’re drawn over the top of each other so it felt like the movie was emphasising them doing everything together).

They summon Priest Protector Mahaad, who kneels facing them when he is summoned.

Priest Protector Mahaad leaps up and launches his attack, which involves magic circles in the air behind him.

He takes out Aigami’s monster and defeats Aigami in the process.

Aigami returns to his regular body before dissolving again.

Gold light works its way through the area, returning the world to normal.

They smile and close their eyes and split once more into Yugi and Atem.

They face each other, silence stretching between them (Atem never speaks except for when he was virtual!Atem earlier)

Finally, Yugi nods.

Atem presses the main front piece of the Puzzle, making it disappear for good before he goes back to the afterlife too.

Mani comes back from the dead and Aigami is alive with Sera and the other kids too. They all lose the gold mark on their forehead.
Kaiba returns now that Aigami has been defeated. He acknowledges Yugi as a competent, amazing duellist in his own right, and smiles at him before leaving. Complete opposite of his opinion earlier.

~~

The credits roll over Yugi and everyone attending their graduation ceremony, where Yugi reads his speech.

Mani, Sera and Aigami are in Egypt and Sera and Aigami part ways with Mani. They all seem happy.

Yugi and co see Anzu off at the airport as she leaves for America. Everyone highfives her goodbye.

We cut back to Kaiba.

He’s in his space station and on call with Mokuba.

Mokuba warns him that it’s dangerous, they’ve not fully tested it or made sure the safety precautions work.

Kaiba tells him not to worry.

Mokuba begs him to come back and Kaiba assures him that he will as he jumps into a pod (that looks like the one from the second half of the Transcend Game manga). He has Aigami’s cube on the seat next to him.

He activates it and the space station is bathed in gold light.

We see Kaiba appear and walk through a desert and he comes over the top of a hill, looking down on a city.

Atem’s palace is in the city.

Kaiba steps into the throne room of the palace, where Atem is sat on his throne. There are people in the background but we don’t get a clear look at who.

Kaiba tells him it’s time to duel.

Atem’s lips change to a smirk.

The main credits roll.

THE END

Damn, the movie sounds really good. Kaiba's character development was finally completed and he got his Duel with Atem at last (with a crucial plot point from Trascended Game). We got the story of how Bakura got the Millemium Ring AND how Shadi died at the same time. Instead of being pure card commercial, the movie is very plot driven which is very nice (all the Duels make a total of 25 minutes).

Tell me about it. Seriously, how far does he have to go to prove himself better than the fucking King of Games?

So, let me get the plot of this movie straight:

KAIBA WANTS HIS WAIFU ATEM BACK!!!

Oh, and there's this guy who is trying to kill off everyone involved in Memory World, but that's not important...

How about going to the underworld just to Duel him at the ending? And frigging Kaiba shed manly tears when Yugi completed the Puzzle again and didn't work; that was one of the most emotional moments of the movie along with Kaiba getting Obelisk temporaly via Atem vs Aigami (with God's Wrath remix) and the ending.

Kaiba used Dragon Orb or something like that, and according to NAC, Cubics were very nerfed from the movie (if the S/Ts were already bonkers, imagine the Anime effects).

To watch the movie without going to Japan or waiting for its international debut, you have to wait until the Blu-rays/DVDs are out and someone rips them to upload them. This is normal for every movie.

Yea I ain't waiting for the international debut. The last movie came out relatively quickly in terms of wait time for me. Hoping for the same with this

Its literally because of that, Cubic Mandala or Samsara wouldn't affect a God. I'm still dissapointed that Krystal Dragon was used in a Pulse battle instead of a normal Duel with normal stats and effects.

Maybe .... well I've been wondering why Shueisha hasn't announced V Jump Edition this year. Thought maybe leftover movie stuff not wanting to get spoiled might be why.

Honestly, if the bulk of the movie involves Kaiba pining for his husbando Atem and trying to bring him back for a duel, then I'm not really interested in it; I don't like one-track-minded characters that aren't the villains and don't move beyond their overwhelming obsession. It just seems too... stupid to me. And honestly, if the ending to the movie is any indication, Kaiba has like zero character growth in this movie in the "I need to prove that I'm better than Yugi/Atem" department...

That was one of the main points of the movie, Kaiba regressing in its developement without the presence of Atem.

And here is the movie ending song if someone wants to watch it:

And yet, according to the spoilers on here, he still pursues a duel with Atem in the afterlife, after dueling Yugi and acknowledging afterward that he's a superior duelist in his own right Just... at least Pyramid of Light explained away his duel with Yugi being a product of his possession by Anubis, this... this just seems pointless to me...

I'm sad that their summons aren't quick effects. It would make them a lot stronger. I do hope they get just a little bit more support in the future.

I wouldn't count on it; apparently, the reason the other movie-based archetypes didn't get any support outside of their movie was because of copyright disputes between Takahashi and Konami over them (something about Konami not owning the rights to the movie cards like they do with the main cards or something, I don't know).

Who knows? Maybe the movie has more unreleased cards we don't know about (like Kaiba having Krystal Dragon and Dragon Orb), so hopefully we can get more support.

Touché.

Let's see:
-POL had 3 unreleased cards.
-BBT had 13 unreleased cards.
-DSOD for now has 4 unreleased cards (Time Trap, Enchance Carter, Krystal Dragon and Dragon Orb).

But all of these (POL and BBT's) were S/Ts, I doubt they are going to leave a monster unreleased (Krystal Dragon), so it will possibily be a promo, be at Pharaoh's Memories, or in the Kaiba Structure Deck.

Movie cards (while watching summaries):
-Time Trap (used by virtual!Atem). It was used to even Dark Magician's ATK with Neo BEUD's.
-Enhance Carter (used by Kaiba). It was used to counter Dimension Reflector and give the negated effect damage to Neo BEUD as ATK (making its ATK 9000).
-Dragon Orb (used by Kaiba). It was used to Special Summon Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon from Kaiba's hand.

Saggi the Dark Clown and Silent Swordsman appear in the movie.

By one side, there is his unofficial waifu Kisara, by the other side, there is his Dueling waifu Atem that he misses so much to the point of making Duel Links just to create a perfect virtual copy of him.

SynjoDeonecros
25th June 2016, 06:37 PM
Kaiba doesn't care about Kisara beyond the fact that she's the spirit living inside his favorite monster. Dueling Waifu Atem eclipses all, for him.

LolsterXD97
25th June 2016, 07:57 PM
The thing is that Kaiba doesn't know Kisara, but his obssesion with Blue-Eyes (which technically is Kisara) is unconsciously linked to Priest Seto's relation with Kisara. So Kaiba has a boner for Kisara and he doesn't know it. That being said, of course he will put his Duel waifu (Atem) over all his priorities, he never got that rematch (at least until the Ending of the movie).

And now I'm wondering how many Yugioh porn artists screamed "FUCK!" after it was revealed that the spirit for Blue-Eyes was female and not male... Seriously, I've seen so many porn parodies of Blue-Eyes as a male - especially with it and Kaiba - that the artists must be kicking themselves for it after the reveal...

Movie-only Traps:

Victim's Darkness (Kaiba)
Normal Trap
When a Spell/Trap Card is activated that would destroy a face-up monster(s): Send 1 Level 3 or lower DARK monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, your face-up monsters cannot be destroyed by that effect.

Time Chain (Yugi)
Continuous Trap
If your monster is attacked by an opponent's monster: Your monster is not destroyed by that battle, then both monsters are treated as though they are not face-up on the field until the controller's 2nd Standby Phase.

Enchanced Counter (Kaiba)
Normal Trap
If you would take battle damage: That damage becomes 0, then 1 face-up monster you control gains ATK equal to the damage you would have taken until the end of the Battle Phase.

Cubic Avatar (Aigami)
Normal Trap
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: Special Summon 1 "Vijam, the Cubic Seed" from your Deck, then make that card the attack target and proceed to damage calculation.

Dragon's Orb (Kaiba)
Normal Trap
This turn, the effect of Dragon-Type monsters you control cannot be negated.

Warrior's Supervision (Yugi)
Normal Trap
When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: Send 1 Warrior-Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard; the attacking monster loses ATK equal to the original ATK of the sent monster.

Fast Chant (Kaiba)
Normal Trap
Send 1 Normal Spell Card from your hand to the Graveyard; this card's effect becomes the effect of that Normal Spell Card when it was activated, also you cannot activate Spell Cards during your next turn.
