If you book of moon a synchro, xyz, fusion or a pendulum ss in the extra deck zone, do they stay in that spot when they flip back up or go to main monster zone?

It functions as it always did, they stay put unless they are actually removed from that zone

Nope, they Errata'd Darkness Approaches.

Face-down ATK Position doesn't exist anymore, its book of moon, but not quick play and takes 2 discard.

as is, Link Monsters cannot exist facedown on the field. ever.

The errata is only in the OCG, so for now you can technically change a Link Monster to face-down Attack Position in the TCG.

Edit: The errata has just arrived to the TCG, so this is no longer true.
