Yes, Aither is a promo packaged with the rest of the Deck. Think of it like Utopia Ray V being with the V for Victory Starter but not in the product 'proper', so to speak.

I realize their intention of the entire "R" deal was to make the deck competitive, but this is the most obvious push I've seen in my life. The Godnarchs and new Vassals are insanely efficent, and the new S/T support is helluva strong as well. Not sure just how good will they be, but something like tier 2 is a pretty feasible guess. Though maybe in a less powered format, without M&M all over the place.

It's crazy how good their spell and trap line-up has gotten, and they keep getting search cards for their spells and traps, making them all the better. Definitely solid tier 1.5-2, if not tier 1

Sided Fairy Winds will pulverise your setup, though. Deck's tough but it has its counters. Moreover, it's hard to side in with the deck.

Why are people so surprised about this "new" combo. I predicted Zaborgs terror way before Monarchs became a thing. I mean it was obvious from the beginning.

Monarchs are nice but I doubt that people would use them in meta. The fact that drawing out a Monarch is not consistent and that you have to rely on drawing them makes this automaticly unattractive for competitive Decks. The chance of having only Knights and/or Spells is not that slim.

I was wondering when Zaborg would start getting the shit abused out of it. I honestly feel like they went a bit overboard on the Monarch support. I get that they wanted to make them good, but this feels a bit too cancerous.

On a side note, I won't claim to be good at translation, but doesn't it make infinitely more sense to call it DESCENT of the True Emperor?
