I made the most savage Link deck imaginable. The idea is to get "Afterburner Engine", Link Summon into "Thruster", bring back "Engine", Link Up,, etc. The idea is to make your LP massively lower than your opponent's so you can one-shot them. The term "Afterburner" is correct, as the fire shoots back at you. If done correctly, this deck can make a 14000 ATK "Dragon".

(Notes on each card are in parentheses)

    Afterburner Engine
    Fire
    Level 1
    Pyro
    Effect -
    (1) If this card is sent to the Graveyard for the Link Summon of an "Afterburner" monster: Special Summon it.
    (2) If this card is Special Summoned: You take 500 damage.

(Your main combo starter. Without this card, the deck is dead.)

    Afterburner Energy
    Continuous Spell
    (1) When this card is activated: Take 500 damage.
    (2) If you would gain LP: You take an equal amount of damage instead.
    (3) If you would take effect damage from the effect of an "Afterburner" card: You opponent gains an equal number of LP instead.
    (4) While this card is face-up on the field, your opponent cannot take effect damage.

(This card allows you to go into as many combos as you want without worrying about LP. The 4 effect prevents you from abusing "Bad Reaction to Simochi".)

    Afterburner Overheat
    Continuous Spell
    (1) When this card is activated: Take 500 damage.
    (2) Each time an "Afterburner" monster(s) is destroyed: You take 500 for each monster destroyed.

(Similar to a one-sided "Fatal Abacus")

    Afterburner Inferno
    Quick-Play Spell
    (1) Take 500 damage for each "Afterburner" monster you control.

(Similar to a one-sided "Ceasefire" or "Just Desserts".)

    Afterburner Rebuild
    Quick-Play Spell
    (1) Take 500 damage; Special Summon 1 "Afterburner" monster from your Graveyard.

(Archetypal revival is always a key part of any custom archetype.)

    Afterburner Ignition
    Quick-Play Spell
    (1) Target 1 "Afterburner" Link Monster you control; Take damage equal to its Link Number x 500.

(This card is especially potent if used with "Dragon", boosting its ATK even higher.)

    Afterburner Rebirth
    Quick-Play Spell
    (1) Target any number of "Afterburner" monster monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon them, and if you do, take 500 damage for each monster Special Summoned by this effect.
    (2) Your opponent takes no damage the turn you activate this effect.

(Archetypal "Soul Charge" with less of a cost. The 2 effect allows you to attack, but prevents an OTK.)

    Afterburner Thruster
    Fire
    Link Markers: ⬇️
    Pyro
    Link
    Effect - 1 "Afterburner" monster
    (1) When this card is Special Summoned: You take 500 damage.
    (2) If this card is sent to the Graveyard for the Link Summon of an "Afterburner" monster: Special Summon it.
    ATK/0
    LINK - 1

(The first in the chain of Link Monsters. The idea is to use "Engine" to summon it, bring back "Engine" and keep Linking up until you reach "Dragon".)

    Afterburner Archer
    Fire
    Link Markers: ↙️↘️
    Pyro
    Link
    Effect - 2 "Afterburner" monsters
    (1) When this card is Special Summoned: You take 1000 damage.
    (2) If this card is sent to the Graveyard for the Link Summon of an "Afterburner" monster: Special Summon it.
    ATK/0
    LINK - 2

(The second in the chain. Each Link Monster inflicts more damage the higher its Link is.)

    Afterburner Magician
    Fire
    Link Markers: ↙️⬇️↘️
    Pyro
    Link
    Effect - 2 "Afterburner" monsters
    (1) When this card is Special Summoned: You take 1500 damage.
    (2) If this card is sent to the Graveyard for the Link Summon of an "Afterburner" monster: Special Summon it.
    ATK/0
    LINK - 3

    (The third in the chain.)

    Afterburner Swordsman
    Fire
    Link Markers: ⬅️↙️↘️➡️
    Pyro
    Link
    Effect - 2 "Afterburner" monsters
    (1) When this card is Special Summoned: You take 2000 damage.
    (2) Each time you take effect damage: This card gains 500 ATK.
    (3) If this card is sent to the Graveyard for the Link Summon of an "Afterburner" monster: Special Summon it.
    ATK/0
    LINK - 4

(The fourth in the chain. A backup in case you can't use "Dragon".)

    Afterburner Dragon
    Fire
    Link Markers: ⬅️↙️⬇️↘️➡️
    Pyro
    Link
    Effect - 2 "Afterburner" monsters
    (1) When this card is Special Summoned: You take 2500 damage.
    (2) If your LP is lower than your opponent's, this card gains ATK equal to the difference between your LP and your opponent's.
    (3) This card cannot attack your opponent directly.
    (4) You can only control 1 "Afterburner Dragon".
    ATK/0
    LINK - 5

(The main boss. Capable of reaching insane ATK.)

    Here is an example decklist.

    Afterburner Engine x3
    Royal Firestorm Guards x3
    Burning Algae x3
The Thing in the Crater x3
    Afterburner Energy x3
    Afterburner Overheat x3
    Afterburner Inferno x3
    Afterburner Rebuild x3
    Afterburner Ignition x3
    Afterburner Rebirth x3

    Firewall x3
    Sealing Ceremony of Katon x3
    Wall of Revealing Light x1

    Afterburner Thruster x3
    Afterburner Archer x3
    Afterburner Magician x3
    Afterburner Swordsman x3
    Afterburner Dragon x3

Is anybody planning on making a card to celebrate Yugi's birthday today?

@Baroque lol Sorry. I hadn't even gotten around to reading your cards yet. Anyway, we solved the issue. "Eddon" when dealing with TCG, broken up into "Geddon", "Neddon", "Meddon" and "Reddon" in OCG and that covers the entire table of elements.

And I'd solved the issue on my end, too, though because the only mention of "eddon" as an archetype was in FOOF Dragon I merely omitted the use of an archetype as the qualifier for 'what it has to burn as fuel to attack' (because the beastie goes and combusts after a while anyways I figured I didn't need to go the opposite route and be limiting) . . . and then you come around and call that 'the least creative way of handling it.' Pardon me for being a trifle miffed at that.

    Speaking of trifles, though . . .

    . . . what's a birthday without sweets? Horribly deprived.

    Spoiler Alert!
    Marshmadeleine
    Level 1 - LIGHT - Fairy/Effect
    atk 400 def 700

When this card is destroyed: You can Special Summon 1 "Marshma" monster, except "Marshmadeleine", from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, plus 1 more if this card was destroyed by a card effect while in face-down Defense Position. Monsters Special Summoned by this effect cannot be Tributed, except for a Tribute Summon.

    Marshmanjar
    Level 1 - LIGHT - Fairy/Effect
    atk 500 def 0

If a "Marshma" card is flipped face-up by battle: You can discard this card from your hand; the attacking monster's effects are negated, including in the Graveyard, and it cannot change its battle position. If this card is destroyed by battle: You can target 1 "Marshma" monster in your Graveyard, except "Marshmanjar"; add it to your hand.

    Marshmarzipan
    Level 3 - LIGHT - Fairy/Effect
    atk 100 def 900

If this card is flipped face-up by battle, it cannot be destroyed by battle this turn, also send it to the Graveyard at the end of this turn. When this card is sent to the Graveyard: Gain Life Points equal to the number of "Marshma" monsters you control x300, and inflict the same amount to your opponent as damage. You can only use this effect of "Marshmarzipan" once per turn.

    Marshmalasada
    Rank 3 - LIGHT - Fairy/Xyz/Effect
    atk 1000 def 300

2 or more Level 3 monsters
This card gains ATK and DEF equal to the total ATK and DEF of all "Marshma" monsters attached to it as Xyz Materials. If this card would be destroyed by battle or by card effect, detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. During your Battle Phase: You can target up to 2 "Marshma" monsters on the field with a Level; attach those cards to this monster as Xyz Materials, and if you do, deal damage to your opponent equal to the ATK of any targets that they controlled. You can only use this effect of "Marshmalasada" once per turn, and you cannot attack with this card during the same turn this effect was used.

    Marshmazurek
    Link-2 - LIGHT - Fairy/Link/Effect
    atk 500 - N, S

2 Level 3 or lower monsters
While a monster exists in a zone this card points at, this card cannot be destroyed by battle, and any damage you take from a battle involving it becomes 500. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Marshma" monster from your hand or Graveyard to a zone this card points to in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position, and if you Special Summoned it in Attack Position, any battle damage the controller of that monster takes for the rest of this turn is halved. You cannot activate this effect in the turn after it was last used.

    Late Yugi Birthday entry.

    Happy belated Birthday Yugi!

    Kuriboh LV10

    [Fiend/Effect]
This monster can only be Special Summoned from your Hand and only by Banishing a "Kuriboh" after it's effect is resolved instead of sending it to the GY. When this monster is summoned, you can Special Summon up to 4 "Kuriboh" monster from your hand/GY. "Kuriboh" monsters gain 500 ATK and DEF for each "Kuriboh" monster you control. Each time a "Kuriboh" monster is destroyed during a turn you controlled this face-up card: Inflict 500 damage if it was destroyed by Battle. Destroy a card your opponent controls if it was destroyed by a card effect.
    ATK/ 300 DEF/ 200

I decided to fix the three things I found wrong with Burning Abyss.
    1. There wasn't a Lucifer
    2. Links killed them
    3. No Links or Pendulums

Cerberus, Hound of the Burning Abyss
    Dark
    Level 3
    Pendulum Scale - 2
Pendulum Effect - The effects "Burning Abyss" monsters you control cannot be negated. If this card is destroyed, destroy all Spell/Trap Cards you control.
    Fiend
    Pendulum
Effect - If you control a monster that is not a "Burning Abyss" monster, destroy this card. You can only use one of these effects of "Cerberus, Hound of the Burning Abyss" per turn, and only once that turn.
    * If you control no Spell/Trap cards: You can Special Summon this card from your hand.
    * If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Send 1 "Burning Abyss" card from your Deck to the Graveyard.
    ATK/1800
    DEF/500

Charon, Ferryman of the Burning Abyss
    Dark
    Level 3
    Pendulum Scale - 4
Pendulum Effect - "Burning Abyss" monsters you control or in your Graveyard cannot be banished by your opponent's card effects. If this card is destroyed, destroy all Spell/Trap Cards you control.
    Fiend
    Pendulum
Effect - If you control a monster that is not a "Burning Abyss" monster, destroy this card. You can only use one of these effects of "Charon, Ferryman of the Burning Abyss" per turn, and only once that turn.
    * If you control no Spell/Trap cards: You can Special Summon this card from your hand.
    * If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Shuffle up to 3 "Burning Abyss" monsters from your Graveyard into the Deck.
    ATK/1600
    DEF/1500

Lucifer, Tyrant of the Burning Abyss
    Dark
    Link Markers - ↙️⬇️↘️
    Fiend
    Link
Effect - 3 "Burning Abyss" monsters
All monsters you control are treated as "Burning Abyss" monsters.
    Each time a monster is Summoned to a zone this card points to: You can apply the appropriate effect, depending on the type of monster Summoned;
    * Fusion: Add 1 "Burning Abyss" monster from your Deck to your hand.
    * Synchro: Add 1 "Burning Abyss" monster from your Graveyard to your hand.
    * Xyz: This card gains 1000 ATK.
    ATK/3000
    LINK - 3

Okay. Geryon as some kind of Fusion monster was the only creature I was really disappointed we didn't get out of the BA archetype.

We don't have a Create-A-Skill thread, so I'm just going to put this here.

    Swing, Pendulum!
    Skill
You now have two Pendulum Zones, to the left and right of your Spell/Trap zones.

This skill actually lets you pendulum summon under Speed Duel rules. It doesn't have a drawback, because playing pendulums in the new era is hard enough as it is.
Current decks: Salamangreats, Knightmare Cyberse, and Odd-Eyes Performapals
Originator of the Tulpa Summon, and the homebrewed cards you use with it.
