Ebony dragon with burning Eyes ! Red-Eyes deck (feat. Red-Eyes Insight)

Hello there, here is Indytotof for a deck profile !

Today's topic will be about Red-Eyes.

    Here is the deck:

    Spoiler Alert!
    Monsters (22):

    x3 Red-Eyes B. Dragon
    x1 Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
    x1 Dark Armed Dragon
    x2 Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon
    x1 Arkbrave Dragon
    x1 Red-Eyes Wyvern
    x1 Red-Eyes Retro Dragon
x2 Manju of Ten Thousand Hands
    x2 Keeper of the Shrine
    x2 Kinka-Byo
x3 The Black Stone of the Legend
    x3 Dark Dragon Paladin

    Spells (11):

x3 Return of the Dragon Lords
    x2 Pre-Preparation of Rites
    x3 Red-Eyes Insight (blank spaces)
    x1 Dragon Shrine
    x3 Dark Dragon Rituals
    x2 Twin Twisters

    Traps (4):

    x3 Red-Eyes Spirit
    x1 Return of the Red-Eyes

    Extra Deck (15):

    x2 Beast-Eyes Pendulum Dragon
    x1 Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon
    x1 Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon
    x3 Red-Eyes Flare Dragon
    x1 Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack
    x1 Number 11: Big Eye
    x1 Queen Dragun Djinn
    x1 Castel the Sky Musketeer
    x1 Daigusto Emeral
    x1 Abyss Dweller
    x1 Gagaga Cowboy
    x1 Ghostrick Dullahan

As you can see, Archfiend Black Skull Dragon is completely absent (as Lord of the Red, due to the fact it clogg more than anything else) for a some simple reason: Red-Eyes Fusion. This card, even if it is searchable, is way too much restricted. And the deck struggle to much with field esthablishing. So no Archfiend Black Skull.

I don't have tested the deck out (YgoPro don't have yet Insight) but I'm still unsure about DAD and Wyvern/Retro.... If INOV give Red-Eyes monsters that are better options, those 3 cards will be the primary targets to be replaced.

Thanks for watching and I'm waiting your ratings and advice about the deck.

I like running Archfiend of Lightning when running a Ritual build because Paladin can summon it from the deck and it's Raigeki like effect is good, although when I do, I also run Lightpulsar Dragon to enact RANK 6 Xyz, like the new Number and Pilgrim Reaper (and Gaia Dragon to summon on top of it). But on the other hand, it can clog sometimes.

Also, when you can test the build, try using Cards of the Red Stone, as you have 5 possible targets for it. Drawing cards are never a bad thing.
Edit: Sword of the Seven Stars is also an option, but the Red-Eyes deck normally cannot recover banished cards easily.

I don't post a lot, but I read everything in this forum. EVERYTHING.
    Current Decks: Red-Eyes | RaidRaptors | D/D/D | Generic Wyrm | Dark Doriado

For now, the deck does right. I've even raped a Blue-Eyes deck.... a shitty one build by someone that had no idea how Blue-Eyes works. Because no, First of the Dragons, BEUD, Dragon Master Knight and FGD aren't good options (Neo BEUD and Twin Burst yes), DMK even more if you don't have Fusion Tag/BLS in your deck.

That's why I think Blue-Eyes should be only be used by peoples that knows what they are doing, not by newbies that just begun to play. Dracopals is more indicated for them.

Here is the build I currently run:

    Spoiler Alert!

    DECKLIST:

    Monsters (23):

    x3 Red-Eyes B. Dragon
    x1 Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
    x1 Dark Armed Dragon
    x2 Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon
x3 Manju of Ten Thousand Hands
    x2 Keeper of the Shrine
    x2 Kinka-Byo
x3 The Black Stone of the Legend
    x3 Effect Veiler
    x3 Dark Dragon Paladin

    Spells (14):

    x3 Red-Eyes Insight
    x1 One for One
x3 Return of the Dragon Lords
    x2 Pre-Preparation of Rites
x2 Cards of the Red Jewels
    x3 Dark Dragon Paladin

    Traps (3):

    x2 Red-Eyes Spirit
    x1 Return of the Red-Eyes

    Extra Deck (15):

    x2 Beast-Eyes Pendulum Dragon
    x1 Odd-Eyes Vortex Dragon
    x1 Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend
    x1 PSY-Framelord Omega
x1 Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy
    x1 Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon
    x2 Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon
    x1 Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack
    x1 Number 11: Big Eye
    x1 Queen Dragun Djinn
    x1 Castel the Skyblaster Musketeer
    x1 Daigusto Emeral
    x1 Abyss Dweller

    Side Deck (15):

x1 Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
    x2 D.D. Crow
    x3 Maxx "C"
    x3 Twin Twisters
    x2 Mask of Restrict
x2 Light-Imprisoning Mirror (maybe change it for Imperial Iron Wall)
    x2 Anti-Spell Fragrance

The deck do really well. Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon is still one of the biggest threat to this deck (hence why Black Metal Dragon will probably be considered) and the absence of my dearest Rafflesia is sometime really painfull, since she protect my field really well and she outs well Chaos MAX... but deck space is a b*tch in this build. Elsewhere, it manage to be pretty decent.Hhe hold its own pretty well against Blue-Eyes who don't run Chaos MAX. But using opponent's Blue-Eyes to make Number 38 is pretty funny.

Also, I want a Red-Eyes card to make this deck use Starve Venom, another out to Chaos MAX thanks to the ATK gain effect.

I'm sorry for double-posting but, I'm continuing my review.

Red-Eyes Insight is a promising support for Red-Eyes. Something is happening here. Red-Eyes can be close to T1 (at least a great rogue deck). They only needs pushes in the right direction to solve their issues: hand clogging (that both Insight and Cards of the Red Jewel can help. It would be better if the latter was searchable), field esthablishing/swarming (Return of the Dragon Lords help with that. Too bad it isn't searchable. Return of the Red-Eyes can serve as a Twin Twisters/MST/HFD/Galaxy Cyclone lure to get free bonus) and protections/come-back possibilities (like a better Red-Eyes Retro Dragon).

Also, the Gemini issue... What about a Red-Eyes Fusion with no summoning restrictions after use AND a Advance Ritual Art effect but for Fusion summoning ? And being searchable ? And make it banish itself from Grave to negate a card effect that target one or more "Red-Eyes" monsters ?

Little bonus: errata Cards of the Red Stone (either in the Mega-Tin 2016 or Legendary Decks II) to have this (This card is always treated as a "Red-Eyes" card). You know ? Like Dragon Spirit of White ? Please ?

It will fix many issues with the Red-Eyes deck.

Insight is a step in the right direction. So go on, resume Konami.

    Another edit with new decklist:

Since Chemical Beasts and Spark Field are out now in YGoPro, I've tested out the deck and... it does pretty well. Chemical Beast Oxine Ox really help the deck in two things: easy RANK 7 enabler and even more Beast-Eyes enablers I only need a RoTA for Beast-Type monsters to have this deck being even more consistent.

So here is the new decklist:

    Spoiler Alert!

    Monsters (22):

    x3 Red-Eyes B. Dragon
    x1 Summoned Skull
    x1 Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
    x2 Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon
    x1 Arkbrave Dragon
    x3 Chemical Beast Oxine Ox
    x3 Black Metal Dragon
    x2 Kinka-Byo
x3 The Black Stone of the Legend
    x3 Effect Veiler

    Spells (17):

    x2 Red-Eyes Insight
    x1 One-For-One
    x2 Red-Eyes Fusion
    x3 Gospel of Revival
    x1 Harpie's Feather Duster
    x1 Monster Reborn
    x2 Terraforming
    x2 Twin Twisters
    x2 Spark Field
    x1 Dragon Ravine

    Traps (1):

    x1 Return of the Red-Eyes

    Extra Deck (15):

    x1 Archfiend Black Skull Dragon
    x3 Beast-Eyes Pendulum Dragon
    x1 Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend
    x1 PSY-Framelord Omega
    x1 Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon
x1 Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon
    x1 Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon
x1 Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy
    x2 Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon
    x1 Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack
    x1 Number 11: Big Eye
    x1 Sylvan Princessprite

As you can see, I've cut out R4NK engine and Ritual engine from the deck. Chemical Beast Oxine Ox and Spark Field are way better engines for the deck. But I'm still looking for a way to use Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning... I'll see if the current engine is all I need to proceed. Maybe cut out Princessprite to add Number 24: Dragon Nosferatu Dragulas then. This post will certainly be updated if I'm satisfied of the build.

But overall, this is the deck I'm the most happy with.

Numeron Dragon bless Invasion of Venom.
