An experiment — What word do you hate the most?

I'm sure you all have that one word; that one word that you hate other people saying. For whatever reason, that one word really—and I mean really—burns your toast beyond all reason.

I'll go first. I hate the word 'interesting'. I'm a university student in a writing course and you'd think my tutors would be more self-aware about how much they use that bloody word. This wasn't the case before I attended university but all of them just use 'interesting' over and over and over. It's become a clichι and they don't even realise it, nor do they take me seriously when I mention it.

So what about you lot? Any words you hate?

    Words currently compiled:
    • Interesting
    • Nice
    • Epic
    • Awesome
    • Depends
    • Teamwork
    • I can't
    • Lemon
    • GGEZ
    • Whatever
    • Swag
    • WHAT (circumstantial)

    • Please (as in "<insert noun here> please")
    • Falsehood
    • Irregardless
    • Dislike
    • Pathetic
    • 'Helpful'
    • Generic
    • Lame

"Depends". I really hate that word for various reasons.

Now that's one I didn't expect. I'm going to hazard a guess and say... you've made appointments with indecisive other people?

More times than I care to admit, yes. The only item the word is acceptable to me is when speaking in regards to theories and such like that, when all the facts aren't there. A good example is Arc V discussion.

If I had to choose one word, it'd be "teamwork". It's a magical word that, in most cases for me in a school context, immediately ruins the joy that I might otherwise be having from any assigned task.

I think I'll go with "I can't". My grandfather used to tell me that people can do anything, so long as they really want to do it. I think this is a great advice and I always try to encourage people not to give up.

    "Lemon"

I work in IT and people try to apply this term to computers all the time. Lemon law can only be invoked if repairs are refused by the manufacturer, which most of the time, they are just trying to get new computers.

It's such a frequent occurrence that people try to use that term that I grit my teeth a bit in anger whenever I see Lemon being used like that.

This is such a positive spin on it that I feel inspired.

Sucks that there's people always trying to swindle you out of goods.

    If you really want one

    "GGEZ"

League inspired, if you don't play it.

Most annoying thing that you can see, because people who say this mock you basically for being such easy opponents, its infuriating, even for me who doesn't anger easily.
Might as well just put this so that people can actually read from my mistake

Thank you very much. I'm feeling more than happy when my words are able to make a positive impact on other people. It may be surprising, but I think that for the most part yugioh has also made a huge impact on me and the way I think.
