See? this is what Ptolemaues should've been, the summoning effect I mean. Instead of gaining access to cards outside of its archetype, it's locked there.

But why the DARK treatment? do they even benefit from that, outside the obvious indirect poster monster support?

In my case, it's more because:
    1- I don't play Tellerknights
2- I rarely see that monster summoned against me
3- I don't really care enough to remember

Also, this reminds me of the BB combo; you need 2 monsters to be alive on the field to be able to stop your opponent's monster from doing any kind of move, but at least with this, it doesn't prevent activation, and it's limited to its Xyz materials (not saying much since it can be inherently Xyz summoned, gaining at least 3 materials)
    RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINN!!!!

1,2 goes for me as well but it was a staple in meta Decks when ptol was a thing

Difference to bb: This is not a crap deck and actually able to be Pulled out often enough. Which isnt surpriding considering its Rank 4

So, now you can activate an Ignition effect on the opponent's turn? Or does this count as Quick? Or is it only quick if you have 7 or more “tellarknight” monsters with different names in the Graveyard? Interesting and weird approach.
Besides, I would still think an OPT restriction would be good, you know, just in case.

Because Triveil wasn't used for constant Continuous Trap recycle and PKs don't run searchable Fiendish Chains

They run 3 or more searchable Continuous Trap Cards, 3 of them being Fiendish Chains so it can be recycled with it. Also it's one of the strongest tools ever so ofcourse they can make good use of it: Entire Field Removal without Destruction or target AND a discard per turn? It even has a discard effect to tigger more PKs and BAs.
The field removal may not work that well against current Decks like Blue-Eyes, Pendulums and ABCs but it's still a very good tool, they are mostlikely going to use.
