    [RATE] Esprit Powerspot

    Konami's official OCG twitter revealed a new card for the "Esprit" archetype that is also semi-generic Ritual support:




    RATE-JP061 霊魂の拠所 Esprit Powerspot

    Continuous Spell Card

    You can only use the (2)nd effect of “Espirit Powerspot” once per turn.
    (1) All Spirit Monsters you control gain 500 ATK and DEF.
    (2) If a face-up WIND monster(s) you control is returned to your hand: You can activate this effect; add from your Deck to your hand either 1 Spirit Monster or 1 Ritual Spell Card.

    That 500 stat boost for Spirits is not bad at all. Depending on what Spirit you have and at least one copy of this out you'll have a decent beatstick. A 2500 atk Susa Soldier for example.

    The secondary effect will usually go off by the Spirit's game mechanic thats a Wind attribute or Yosenjus too. You could facilitate it by using bouncing cards to gain access to the search as well without waiting for the end phase. Tech choices that come to mind are Genex Ally Birdman, Zephyros, and even Majespector Unicorn that will allow to access a search during the opponent's turn.

    Good card in general,but Ritual card from the deck only?
    With 2 Ritual monster and (for the moment) only 1 Ritual Spell,Espirit will run out of Ritual Spell really quickly.

    The search is definitely a good start, but it does need a way to keep getting the spell. Especially since your rituals are also spirits.

    Still, all they need now is a card to put the spell back into the deck and I think this will be a decent deck.
    Current decks: Salamangreats, Knightmare Cyberse, and Odd-Eyes Performapals
    Originator of the Tulpa Summon, and the homebrewed cards you use with it.

    now watch Hime shuffle the spell back as part of her effect

    I just got the idea of use also an orichalcos, then all your spirits will get a boost of 1000 atk, and the ss limitation would be almost undetectable as your ss are going to be from hand.

    Also notice that if orichalcos is up and u have 2 monster with the same atk your opponent cannot attack, so when the ritual returns to hand and ss two tokens it also protect them from attacks

    Still doesn't fix the main issue of the Deck, which is the lack of reusability on the Ritual Spell. This is a pretty good card for searching out Ritual stuff though; unfortunately it's not a Field Spell. Also, fun fact: The only non-Esprit WIND Spirit Monster in the game is Yata-Garasu, and that thing's definitely not coming back from the Forbidden list ever.

    Now I kind of want to try Yosenju Spirits...

    It's not until this was revealed that I realized WIND Spirits means Divine Wind abuse... I is slow.
