[DBSW] Shadow Six Samurai – Fuhma

It’s time to reveal the Last Samurai!

    Shadow Six Samurai – Fuhma
    WIND/Warrior
    Level 1
    Tuner/Effect
    200/1800
    (1) If this card is destroyed by battle or a card effect: You can Special Summon 1 “Six Samurai” monster from your Deck, except “Shadow Six Samurai – Fuhma”.
    (2) If exactly 1 “Six Samurai” monster you control would be destroyed by an effect, you can banish this card from your Graveyard instead.

Not bad, but it's just sad to see how little Konami chose to make the new Six Samurai work well with the old ones.

Probably won't have much of an impact for the same reason Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda didn't: float-on-destruction is too slow in the modern meta.

Their artwork makes me wish they had developed more Ninja support (and maybe more references to the Geomon games) instead of turning to Six Samurai again.

The big difference here is that Fuhma doesn't rely on the opponent to activate while Winda did. You could say destroy it with Dragonic Diagram, SS that new Six Samurai that searches on SS, then proceed from there. Just an idea tho

Not bad at all. It is a tuner with a good level, This plus any level 4 Sam = shien. It works with the old six Sam's that destroy another six Sam you control to protect themselves. You can pop this to save a six Sam and now replace it so you don't really lose anything and thin the deck by one. It is very low in atk so it is a great asceticism target.plenty of neat little tricks this card can produce, None game breaking but decent.

    2 card Trishula combo.

    1. Summon this
    2. Asceticism into Kageki
    3. SS Kizan from hand
    4. Trishula
The dankest duelist you'll ever meet.

Isn't that only 8 levels? Fuhma 1 + Kageki 3 + Kizan 4 = 8... Grandmaster is 5, I think you meant that. Still pretty neat trick, if only I didn't dislike Asceticism greatly.

It also helps matters that this is a Level 1 monster, meaning One for One could be used to deploy it.

But yes, it being Level 1 is primarily useful for pairing with the wealth of Level 4 monsters Six Samurai have (including one that doesn't take up a Normal Summon, Kizan) to make Shi En easier. Or, for that matter, you could use it with Asceticism going the other way, using it to field Kageki (which would be of use if you had the Shien Xyz out, *or* a Lv2 Tuner for whatever reason, or any number of other reasons) and then letting Asceticism pop it to let you search, say, Grandmaster or Kagemusha. Or you could revive him with Return of the Six Samurai or Double-Edged Sword Technique (the former possibly as an emergency tactic, the latter as a means to an end -- revive him and something you'd need to Synch for Shi En w/ another Tuner you have, SS Shien then Sync Shi En and then by turn's end your Fuhma will be grabbing you a Grandmaster to be buddy-buddy with your Nobunaga expys).

There's definitely ways to use this fella well, ya just gotta think outside the box.
