    [Promo] White Aura Biphamet

Ren’s Ace Card finally has its OCG effects revealed, which attempt to duplicate its two monster-in-one nature!

    YA04-JP001 白闘気双頭神龍 White Aura Biphamet
Level 10 WATER Fish Synchro Effect Monster
    ATK 3300
    DEF 3000
    Materials: 1 Tuner Synchro Monster + 1+ Non-Tuner Monsters

    (1) When this card is Synchro Summoned during your turn: You can Special Summon 1 “Divine Dragon Token” (Fish/WATER/Level 10/ATK 3300/DEF 3000) in Defense Position.
    (2) Once per turn, during your opponent’s turn, if you control no Tokens: You can Special Summon 1 “Divine Dragon Token”.
    (3) If this card is destroyed by your opponent’s effect and sent to the GY, and you control a “Divine Dragon Token”: You can Special Summon this card in Defense Position.

The cover of Volume 4 is Yuto and I believe Dark Anthelion Dragon

    Cover doesn't match the Promo?

First one in Arc-V. Hopefully it means we'll see "DAD" soon (i.e. PP20).

    It's a big fish.
    The biggest fish ever.

    Cry, Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua.

Always a bigger fish, as they say.

I just don't understand why Konami is so afraid of making good, cost-effective Synchro monsters when they clearly aren't going to be meta almost ever again. Like, they seem fine making some fairly on-curve Fusions and Rituals, but Synchros are like permanently one series worth of power creep behind the rest. What did Synchro ever do to earn Konami's ire?

Interesting concept, but it could have Summoned the Token in ATK.

Well, at least it doesn't specify Defense Position for the tokens it summons later.

I'm really disappointed they went for the Token crap, even since it was first brought up as a possibility I thought it would have been a dumb way to adapt it.

It deserved the total immunity IMO.

I thought it should have just been:
    • Counts as two Summon tributes/materials.
    • Once per turn, if it would be destroyed, it is not.
    • If the above effect has not been activated, it can attack twice in a battle phase.

I don't really mind the token version. I'm just not sure about the token's name. Or forcing the first one summoned to be in Defense Position. Or you not being allowed to have ANY tokens in order to summon it again. Although, at least this is an automatic way of keeping this beast while freeing up space in your Extra Zone.

I guess I don't really mind the token route, I just don't like how it was handled.
