    [Manga] New "D/D" Monsters

    https://ygorganization.com/999zeroparadoxdilemma/

    D/D Extra Surveyor
    Level 5
    ATK 1000
    DEF 0
    Scale: 4

DDDD超次元統皇ゼロ・パラドックス Dii Dii Dii Dii Chou Jigen Touou Zero Paradox (D/D/D/D Superdimensional Supreme Emperor Zero Paradox)
    Level 12
    ATK 3000
    DEF 3000
This card cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. This card can be Special Summoned when you Pendulum Summon a “D/D/D” monster, and the combined value of your Pendulum Scales exceeds that Level.
When this card is Special Summoned: You can destroy all other cards on the field.

統 (Tou) here is a bit complicated, it means mostly “Overall/Control/Rule”, but often it is used to imply things where something has been united under one flag/goal/system/etc. Basically this guy is the Emperor of Emperors.

Reminder, this name isn’t the one used by Viz, it’s merely a placeholder.

Wow. I would have never guessed they would have added a 4th D.

I'm rather surprised to see what looks like a super boss from Manga Declan seemingly so early. To an extent, this kind of implies he won't be Dueling again.

I'm a little confused by the summoning conditions for Zero Paradox. How can the level of a monster you pendulum summon be greater than the combined value of your pendulum scales? Does it count the combined levels for all the monsters you sumom? (Manga effects are always so vauge.)
Current decks: Salamangreats, Knightmare Cyberse, and Odd-Eyes Performapals
Originator of the Tulpa Summon, and the homebrewed cards you use with it.

It says the combined value of the scales is higher than the level of the monster, not the level exceedimg the scales. We'll probably be seeing his Scale 9 from his first duel so he has a total of 13 to exceed "Paradox's" 12.

Also, the hands on this monster are simailr to the hands of the monster Reiji summoned against Yuya before the duel got cancelled. So it's likely that it's a Pendulum monster, given the frame of the monster that Reiji got earlier in the series. However, GOD has been drawn with each border more than once at this point, so...

It actually just says that your combined Scales must be higher than the level of the monster you summoned. That however wouldn't be a condition at all, since it is always the case, given that at least one Scale must exceed the level of the summoned monster. ThePhotonLegion's theory that it must exceed Paradox's level makes sense, but isn't written on the card atm. We should however wiat for the Viz translation, or even better, the actual card.

That being said, noone would run this card in a D/D deck anyways, since it wipes your board as well. And Pendulum D/Ds aren't what you want to use anyways. So if they don't slap a search effect on it like on Odd-Eyes Revolution Dragon, it will be complete trash.

Also, any theories what the 4th D could stand for? D/D is Defferent Dimension, and D/D/D is Different Dimension Demon, but I have no clue what D/D/D/D would be.

You'll never be "Kurosaki Shun riding a backflipping Revolution Falcon then jumping on a driving motorcycle"-cool.

Still don't get it. If you Pendulum Summon a "D/D/D" monster of any Level, at least one of your Scales has to exceed that Level, so the sum of your Scales definitely exceeds that Level. How is the condition different from "If you Pendulum Summon a "D/D/D" monster that has any Level"?

Also curious what "D/D/D/D" officially stands for.

EDIT: yshipster beat me to it almost verbatim, lol.
