[OCG] The Valuable Book 20 Promos

So have you ever been bothered by the lack of Dragonís Mirror or Five-Headed Dragon for Spellcasters? Well hereís two cards for you.

    VB20-JP001 クインテット・マジシャン Quintet Magician
Level 12 DARK Spellcaster Fusion Effect Monster
    ATK 4500
    DEF 4500
    Materials: 5 Spellcaster monsters
    Must be Fusion Summoned.
    (1) If this card is Fusion Summoned by using 5 Spellcaster monsters with different names as materials: You can destroy all cards your opponent controls.
    (2) Cannot be Tributed or be used as a Fusion Material, and cannot be destroyed by card effects.

    VB20-JP002 円融魔術 Magicalize Fusion
    Normal Spell Card
You can only activate 1 card with this cardís name per turn.
    (1) Fusion Summon 1 Spellcaster Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, by banishing monsters you control or have in your GY as Fusion Materials.

Why that "cannot be Tributed or used as Fusion material" restriction on the Fusion? It seems pointless. Anyway, it's a decent card, another worthy Future Fusion target, even if the errata makes it slower, you can dump 5 Spellcasters to the Graveyard and use them inmediately to Summon a copy of the Fusion by banishing them with the Spell, then Summon a second copy the following turn if Future Fusion remains on the field.

The Dragon's Mirror-like Spell is also very welcomed, I wish there was one for other Types as well.

Much needed protection from megafleet and kaiju

Amazing fusion monster for shaddols, pen magician and dark Magician. Guessing there's another new monster to go along with these as suggested with spell card picture

Oh I get it then. Forgot those because I haven't encountered them lately.

Yeah, Megafleet is not something you usually see. I think the second part was thought more as Super Polymerization protection.

Does any one else think the artwork of the spellcaster coming out of a mirror is meant to mirror (pun unintended) the dragon coming out of the mirror in Dragon's Mirror?

Also, while there are a lot of Spellcasters, there are not as many Spellcaster fusions. Quintet aside, Magicalize wasn't as needed as the mirror for Warriors or Fiends.

Speaking of Quintet, Yugi.feder is very right in saying he is great for Future Fusion combos. You can:

    1) Dump 5 Exodias then activate Soul Charge and Sound the Retreat to win the game immeadiately.

    2) Dump 5 Shaddolls and get a multitude of effects at the same time.

    3) Dump those 4 Magicians you need for your Zarc summon.

Reminds me of Dragon Ball Fusions' Ultra/Maxi Fusion.

Yeah, I also noticed that reference to Dragon's Mirror. I can imagine both ultimate Fusion Monsters being Summoned out of the mirrors to fight each other.

And yeah you're right, I cheked the database and aside of Quintet there are only 10 Spellcaster Fusions, and half of them don't have effect and the other half don't actually benefit from using this spell. But it's maybe a hint that more Spellcaster Fusions will come soon.

And it STILL loses to Castel and Utopia the Lightning! LMAO WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY KONAMI!?

And as others have said, the irony is that a bunch of the Fusion monsters in Dark Magician/Odd-Eyes/Red-Eyes/Buster Blader.dek are either Warriors or Dragons, especially the latter.

So, after this, what's the next step in the escalating removal/protection war?
Current decks: Salamangreats, Knightmare Cyberse, and Odd-Eyes Performapals
Originator of the Tulpa Summon, and the homebrewed cards you use with it.

"This card is not removed from the field after the game is ended. Literally once you play this sucker it will always be on your field in every game you play. YOU CANNOT GET RID OF IT EVEN IF YOU WANT!"

Followed half a year later by:

"If a card says 'This card is not removed from the field after the game is ended. Literally once you play this sucker it will always be on your field in every game you play. YOU CANNOT GET RID OF IT EVEN IF YOU WANT!', rip it up and set it on fire. You can only activate a card with this card's name once per turn."
