    [VRAINS] Dub Names and Actors

As someone who loves me some English Yu-Gi-Oh! Dubs, I thought I'd post this.

For those who enjoy English language dubs of the series.

    Edit: Further updates

Barrett Leddy has confirmed they will be voicing Akira Zaizen (name unchanged from the Japanese version). This is the first time being involved with the franchise, according to their website.

Sam Black has confirmed they’ll be playing Koulter, the dub version of Kusanagi, Yusaku’s partner in their takedown of Hanoi. Black has previously played the roles of “Battle Beast” and “Mamoru Noro” from ARC-V’s third season.

Sam’s also confirmed he’ll be playing the SOL executive “Knight” and the house cleaning robot Roboppi.

Daniel J Edwards has announced he’ll be playing Varus and Gore, the dub incarnations of Revolver and Go Onizuka. Fans will know him best as Aigami from The Dark Side of Dimensions, as well as playing Dipper and Dennis Macfield from Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V.

Mike Pollock, a VA veteran who’s played multiple roles for 4Kids and 4KMedia productions, has announced he’ll be voicing Gore’s manager.

We’ll be sure to bring up more information about the dub as it becomes available, besides the fact the first episode will be airing in theaters alongside the HD re-release of “Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie” (The Pyramid of Light one)
I'm happy to have some concrete info on this being a thing. Looking forward to here more.

Sadly Daniel didn't know Gore's last name. He did confirm that he's looking forward to kicking his own ass when Varus and Gore duel though.

"Gore" is so out-of-place with Go's character.

    Not exactly...

It actually relates to Go's character in a couple of ways.

    1. Gore is an anagram of Ogre

    2. Gore is a wrestling move popularized by Rhyno
The dankest duelist you'll ever meet.

I still think it's not a good title to someone actively trying to be kid-friendly.

I was kinda surprised at the choice, too, but I had figured there was a reason behind it that related to wrestling, since it sounded like something of a wrestler's persona, even if not knowing/realizing the details (who knows when or even if I would have realized that Gore is an anagram of Ogre, directly tieing into the Japanese name and its referene, and I definitely didn't know the latter). Thanks @Constellar28.

(Gore's pretty much my favorite VRAINS character right now, so I'm behind him and VA 100%!)

I think you may be seeing it from and landlocking yourself to the wrong perspective of definition.

On another note, even if you do see it from that definition, having a tough, "edgy" name but still being a giant softy is a pretty apt way of looking at Go's character on the whole, who is intimidating at first glance (and whenever he needs to be) but is otherwise deeply insightful and kind. It's a contrast that makes him stand out even more.

The more I think on, the more I feel it's a perfect name for a wrestler character to have.

I donít think anything from the dub has gotten leaked yet, except the opening.

The dub opening is actually pretty cool
