    [SOFU] The Remaining Cards

The last cards of the set descends, and of course, one of them is a pun.

素早きは三文の徳 Subayaki ha Sanmon no Toku (Lit: Nimbleness is one of the Three Virutes/Eng: The Nimble Manta Catches The Worm)
    Normal Trap Card
You can only activate this card’s name once per turn. (1) If the monsters on your field are three non-Token monsters with the same name: Add 3 monsters with the same name from your Deck to your hand, but for the rest of the turn, you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters with those names, nor activate their effects.

Note: The card’s name is a very blatant pun on the Japanese term for “The Early Bird Catches The Worm” (literally “Getting Up Early is one of the Three Virtues).

    Token Collector
Level 4 EARTH Fiend Effect Monster
    ATK 0
    DEF 2000
You can only use the (1)st effect of this card’s name once per turn.
    (1) If a Token is Special Summoned while this card is in the hand or GY: You can Special Summon this card.
    (2) If this card is Special Summoned: Destroy all Tokens on the field, and if you do, this card gains 400 ATK for each Token destroyyed.
    (3) Neither player can Special Summon Tokens.

Gravekeeper support is actually good. Throne (abridged pharaoh's throne muffled in the distance) is fcking amazing being a ROTA + double summon in a same card and together with Priest allows the deck now have consistent ways to summon more than 1 monster per turn.

Spiritualist is meh, just a plain fusion enabler, and the new fusion is not that good.

Sanctuary is interesting, while necro is on the field your GK will have 1000atk more than your opponent's monsters, it recycles necrovalley from gy (A shame that only during MP) and float into anything necro related, even a copy of itself. (Find funny "set a necrovalley card except 'necrovalley'", which I also don't understand as its not like a big deal to bring necro face down)

Orphegel spells are cool, specially their destiny draw, it gives a huge push in the early turns.

Attributes for the Devirituals are disappointing. Should have been WIND and EARTH. All the Djinn Ritual supporters were all DARK and I can't even think of a general Ritual support monster right now that isn't DARK or LIGHT.

Damn, Konami. Names a card set after an unreleased Manga card then goes and includes a card that functions literally like that EXACT manga card but with summoning sickness, a darker restriction and no Life Point cost.

Having sinergy with Allure of Darkness and Brilliant Fusion is by far more important than having multiple attributes just for the sake of it.

Also, you're complaining about a card not having LP payment. I don't know if I should take you seriously or not lol

On a side note, that Orphegel Prime's artwork is heart-shattering.

Gravekeeper's Spiritualist can also be used to summon:
    • El Shaddoll Winda
    • Millennium-Eyes Restrict
    • Quintet Magician
    • Supreme Arcanite Magician

GK's Spiritualist and GK's Priest appear to be GK's Heretic's comrades, since they don't have hieroglyphs in their artwork background and both help you summon Heretic's fusion version.

That Devirituals only bother to concern themselves with DARK and LIGHT even when they have opportunities to diversify is more revealing of the non-existing attribute balance among Ritual monsters. It was great that we got new support for Ruin and Demise, but it is also yet again, just more DARK and LIGHT ritual monsters. DARK and LIGHT rituals make up more than half of all Ritual monsters in the game and the only reason WATER Rituals are numerous is because of exactly 2 themes. Take Nekroz and Gishki out of the equation and you find Fortress Whale and Crab Turtle is all you have left. After nearly 20 years of this game, there are only 3 FIRE Ritual monsters in existence and 2 WIND.

Who said I was complaining about no LP cost? At least the material in Soul Fusion isn't banished face-down.

Well, of the list only Winda is somewhat viable if you add some shaddoll like dragon (Winda + necro would be a pain in the ass). I still dont find myself running spiritualist unless the fusion becames an epic antimeta, which I doubt, also with the new trap is not that important to protect necro

Previous Devirituals supported exact levels 4, 6 and 4+6=10.

Now they support any exact level from 3 to 11.
