    Shadows In Valhalla TCG: The Valkyries

    Tomorrow, they’ll be showcasing Zigfried’s continuous spells.

    They also stealthily included that they’ll be revealing ninjas tomorrow in their strategy site article, but we at YGOrganization have read all 72 volumes of Naruto. We know all the tricks in the ninja scroll, and nothing escapes our Mangekyo Sharingan.



    Valkyrie Dritte / Fairy/Effect / LIGHT / LVL 4 / ATK 1000 / DEF 1600
    If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 “Valkyrie” card from your Deck to your hand, except “Valkyrie Dritte”. You can only use this effect of “Valkyrie Dritte” once per turn. Gains 200 ATK for each of your opponent’s banished monsters.

    Valkyrie Zweite / Fairy/Effect / LIGHT / LVL 5 / ATK 1600 / DEF 1600
    If this card is Summoned: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it. After damage calculation, if this card battled: You can target 1 Continuous Spell in your GY; add it to your hand. You can only use each effect of “Valkyrie Zweite” once per turn.

    Valkyrie Erste / Fairy/Effect / LIGHT / LVL 6 / ATK 1600 / DEF 1800
    If this card is Special Summoned from your hand by a Spell effect: You can target 1 “Mischief of the Time Goddess” in your GY; add it to your hand. If you control a “Valkyrie” monster other than “Valkyrie Erste” (Quick Effect): You can banish 1 monster from your opponent’s GY, then this card’s ATK becomes equal to the banished monster’s original ATK until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of “Valkyrie Erste” once per turn.

    Valkyrie Brunhilde / Fairy/Effect / LIGHT / LVL 7 / ATK 1800 / DEF 2000
    Unaffected by your opponent’s Spell effects. Gains 500 ATK for each monster your opponent controls. When an opponent’s monster declares an attack: You can have this card lose exactly 1000 DEF, and if you do, your “Valkyrie” monsters cannot be destroyed by battle this turn.

    Fortune Chariot / Fairy/Union/Effect / WIND / LVL 6 / ATK 1000 / DEF 2000
    (This card is also always treated as a “Valkyrie” card.)
    Once per turn, you can either: Target 1 Fairy monster you control; equip this card to that target, OR: Unequip this card and Special Summon it. If the equipped monster would be destroyed by battle or card effect, destroy this card instead. The equipped monster can attack directly, but when it does so using this effect, the battle damage inflicted to your opponent is halved.



    Ride of the Valkyries / Normal Spell
    Special Summon any number of “Valkyrie” monsters with different names from your hand. If you Special Summoned 3 or more monsters with this effect, you take no battle damage until the end of the next turn. During the End Phase of the turn you activated this card, shuffle all monsters you control into the Deck. You can banish this card from your GY; add 1 “Mischief of the Time Goddess” from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of “Ride of the Valkyries” once per turn.



    Mischief of the Time Goddess / Quick-Play Spell
    Neither player can activate cards or effects in response to this card’s activation. Cannot be activated as Chain Link 2 or higher. At the end of your Battle Phase, if all monsters you control are “Valkyrie” monsters (min. 1): Send this card to the GY, also, immediately after this effect resolves, skip to the start of the Battle Phase of your next turn. If you do, you cannot activate “Mischief of the Time Goddess” until the end of that turn.

    Just curious tomorrow to see if any of the Ninja cards are Magnum's or if the only duelist in Battle City who hasn't got a single original anime card in the OCG remains as is.

    Interesting direction to adapting Mischief.
    Still waiting for the reveals of Valkyrie's Embrace, Pegasus Wing, Rainbow Bridge Bifrost, Swan Maiden, Loge's Flame and the Nornian Spells. He's got other cards of course but these are the ones that directly support the Valkyries (plus they already said the Nornian Spells would be in this set).

    Also, it appears that, for some nonsensical reason, Brunhilde is the only one without a bellybutton in her midrif. It's just weird looking. That flat nothingness. If they were going to remove her ?too sexy? naval they could have at least changed the color so it looked like she was wearing something over there instead of leaving it skin color.

    SHVA-EN008 Goddess Skuld’s Oracle
    Continuous Spell Card
    When this card is activated: If all monsters you control are “Valkyrie” monsters (min. 1), you can add 1 “Goddess Verdande’s Guidance” from the Deck to your hand. Once per turn, during your Main Phase: You can look at the top 3 cards of your opponent’s Deck, and if you do, place them on top of their Deck in any order, but you cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Fairy monsters. You can only activate 1 “Goddess Skuld’s Oracle” once per turn.




    SHVA-EN009 Goddess Verdande’s Guidance
    Continuous Spell Card
    When this card is activated: If all monsters you control are “Valkyrie” monsters (min. 1), you can add 1 “Goddess Urd’s Verdict” from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn: You can declare 1 type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap); reveal the top card of your opponent’s Deck and if it was the declared type, then Set it to their field. Otherwise, they add it to their hand. You can only activate 1 “Goddess Verdande’s Guidance” per turn.




    SHVA-EN010 Goddess Urd’s Verdict
    Continuous Spell Card
    Your opponent cannot target “Valkyrie” monsters you control with card effects, also they cannot be destroyed by your opponent’s card effects. Once per turn: You can declare 1 card name, then target 1 Set card your opponent controls; reveal the Set card, and if it was the declared card, banish it. Otherwise, banish 1 card you control.

    2 Alchemy Beasts, their 2 Spells, Alchemic Kettle Chaos Distill and White Process with a reprint of Golden Homunculus in one set.
    4 Alchemy Beast, their 4 Spells, Black Process in the next set.

    More on topic:
    Urd is 10. So here's hoping 11-15 are the other 5 Valkyrie support cards and this isn't all we are left with.

    Well there you go. Ninja Grandmaster is number 11. There went all hopes of getting the other 5 Valkyrie cards. Even in providing something long awaited, they manage to find a way to disappoint. I could already see their effects mostly added to the monsters, but I hate it when they do that. I'd rather have a full deck with the cards the duelist actually played and have new added effects to those cards to boost support. Pegasus Wing allowed you to apply Fortune Chariot's effect to a Valkyrie while Chariot was in the GY. Bifrost gave any one Valkyrie an attack boost based on number of banished monsters. Swan Maiden was an extra in-theme Special Summon for Valkyries. Valkyrie's Embrace banished an opponent's monster at the cost of changing the battle position of a Valkyrie. Loge's Flame prevented any monster under 2000 ATK from declaring attack, destroyed itself when a battle occurs and could summon Brunhilde out of the Deck just for leaving the field.

    These Sailor Moon-like artworks are so bad I wish they were never printed to be honest. Actually, I wished KC Gramd Chapionship never happened — worst filler in the original anime.
