    [SR07] Glow-Up Bloom

The classic Plant Tuner gets revised in a rather interesting form.

    SR07-EN003 グローアップ・ブルーム Glow-Up Bloom
Level 1 DARK Zombie Tuner Effect Monster
    ATK 0
    DEF 0
The effect of this card’s name can only be used once per turn.
    (1) If this card is sent to the GY: You can banish this card from the GY; add 1 Level 5 or higher Zombie monster from your Deck to your hand. If “Zombie World” is in a Field Zone, you can Special Summon it instead of adding it to the hand. After this effect is activated, for the rest of the turn, you cannot Special Summon monsters, except Zombie monsters.

That's an interesting monster but why is it a Zombie Glow-Up Bulb?
IRL Decks: Pure Artifact, Lyrilusc (work in progress) and futurely Time Thief
Online: Trap Monster, Trickstar, Eyes Restrict
Pre-Link Format: DDD, Heraldic Beast, Chronomaly

This is pretty amazing. A tuner with the ability to search as long as it goes to the grave in any way. You can even discard with Zombie master and get the effect off. It will mostly only be used on one monster if this is a dedicated ZW deck, but being a tuner, a one for one target and a niche searcher is very decent.

I thought Plants were supposed to be fighting zombies not becoming zombies. How did it become a zombie?

Anyway this appears to confirm the new Extra Deck monster doesn't count towards the regular SDR main deck 6 new card limit.

Because zombie forms of other monsters is an old tradition I'm glad they're continuing.
Current decks: Salamangreats, Knightmare Cyberse, and Odd-Eyes Performapals
Originator of the Tulpa Summon, and the homebrewed cards you use with it.

Yeah, Bulb is the quintessentianl tuner and here is the Zombie World counterpart.

    Fits the SD's theme.

    EDIT: 'Bloom' sounds like 'Doom'

    Growing Doom?

Well this justifies this Structure Deck R for me. I was slightly underwhelmed by the other contents. Bloom is a great enabler for all zombie strategies of the past and present.

I really like this card. I both like it and appreciate it for what it stands for as high-Level Zombie support. Moreover, it ties Zombie World Decks together nicely as their own thing.

I'm also surprised by its existence. I thought we had all 6 cards from the Structure Deck R. That means we actually got 7; the Extra Deck Monster was a bonus, and not the 6th as I though and as the product reveals led on.

I mean, why not. Zombie counterparts are nothing new. And its a recognizable Tuner in a Deck that aims to Synchro Summon a new Zombie Synchro.

I like that you can use it to give some cool life to more old-school esoteric Zombies. It works nicely with Vampires, too, and now newer Zombie Decks will have a new avenue for their Main Deck stuff that isn't just Gozuki/Samurai Skull/Uni-Zombie (the latter of whom they are trying to low-key distance themselves from).

For the former, the same way all the other Zombie counterparts became Zombies. Presumably they were "infected" or "resurrected".

I'm glad for the latter being the case. More new cards is always better, and this means we can now have an Extra Deck Boss in the Structure Deck Rs (and still keep the typical 6 Main Deck card pattern).

    Aesthetically, it does, doesn't it?
