    [SAST] Hiita the Blazing Fire Charmer

    Charmers reappear in their greatest evolution yet… as Link Monsters!

    SAST-JP056 灼熱の火霊使いヒータ Shakunetsu no Hi Rei Tsukai Hiita (Hiita the Blazing Fire Charmer)
    Link 2 FIRE Spellcaster Link Effect Monster
    ATK 1850
    Links: Bottom Left, Bottom Right
    Materials: 2 Monsters, including a FIRE monster.
    This card is always treated as a “Familiar-Possessed” card. You can only use each effect of this card’s name once per turn.
    (1) You can target 1 FIRE monster in your opponent’s GY; SPecial Summon that monster to your Monster Zone this card points to.
    (2) If this Link Summoned card is destroyed by battle or your opponent’s effect: You can add 1 FIRE monster with 1500 or less DEF from your Deck to your hand.

    Starting a new Charmer series? We are still missing 3 Advanced Familiars and 2 Cataclysmics.

    Also, that is definitely getting TCG censored. And what the flip has happened to her fox familiar? Looks kind of like she digivolved it.

    This card is both a Charmer and Familiar-Possessed monster. As such, it reaps both benefits of Unpossessed. It cannot be destroyed by battle AND it gains 800 ATK when attacking.

    Is there a LIGHT and DARK Charmer also ?

    If yes, then I'm highly interested if the Link versions keep those effects.

    Hopefully this means we'll get them as well.

    They should, the whole thing about the Charmers is that they all have the same effects, just geared toward different Attributes.

    Were the Cataclysmics ever supposed to cover the non-element Attributes?
    IRL Decks: Pure Artifact, Lyrilusc (work in progress) and futurely Time Thief
    Online: Trap Monster, Trickstar, Eyes Restrict
    Pre-Link Format: DDD, Heraldic Beast, Chronomaly

    Considering that the cataclysmic counterparts...

    - were not drawn by the same artist;
    - were not supported by Unpossessed;
    - have an unrelated effect;
    - don't show evolved familiars, despite the charmed being older;

    ... I'd say they are not going to be treated as part of the series. It's just a spin-off series, if you will.

    Dharc came out in the first set of Series 6. Lyna came out in the very last set of Series 6.

    FP Dharc came out in the 7th set of Series 7
    and Lyna's Spiritual Art came out one set later. FP Lyna came out in the 12th set of Series 9.

    Before Dharc and Lyna got Familiar Possessed, people thought there wouldn't be FP for those two. Back when we got the DARK Spiritual Art long before Dharc ever came out people thought that meant we just wouldn't ever get a DARK or LIGHT Charmer at all. And the Advanced Familiars came out of nowhere with the WIND familiar still not having come out despite being depicted on Unpossessed with the other three.

    I don't believe there were supposed to be DARK and LIGHT Charmers at all when the theme was first conceived and released. Look where we are now. Dharc got his Familliar-Possessed form FOURTEEN sets after his initial release and Lyna didn't get hers until TWENTY-EIGHT sets after her Charmer form first came out. Twenty-Eight sets. Asking if they were 'supposed' to have Cataclysmic forms bares no weight on the subject at this point.
