    [SD35] Salamangreat Mole

    Another extender and recycle draw card for the Salamangreat Theme is revealed!

    You can only use the (1)st and (2)nd effects of this card’s name each once per turn.
    (1) During the Main Phase of a turn in which you Link Summoned a Link Monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand to your Monster Zone that a Link Monster points to.
    (2) If you control no monsters: You can banish this card from the GY, then target 5 “Salamangreat” cards in your GY; shuffle all of those cards into your Deck, and if you do, draw 2 cards.

    And so a Wild Salamangreat Mole appears! Not surprising in hindsight that they would save this card for the Structure, what with it being a play starter and play extender that the Deck could make use of.

    I was definitely waiting for this for some time. The Deck really needed something like it, again, as a play starter when Falco and Meer don't make it to your opening hand together, but also as an extender. It can help Summon Sunlight Wolf and can trigger the effect of a newly Summoned one, too, before climbing into Heatleo.

    That 2nd effect is just sweet icing on the cake! It won't likely come up too often under normal circumstances, but it is a superb panic button for when you find yourself Monsterless in a (possibly protracted) Duel that has a bunch of Salamangreat stuff in GY. That it can shuffle Spells and Traps and doesn't have name limitations is just all the sweeter.
